Steven G. Janik is the founder and Managing Partner of Janik L.L.P.

Mr. Janik graduated from Denison University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, having majored in Economics. Mr. Janik was actively involved in the Denison Campus Government Association, a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics Honorary), a member of the Board of Directors of the American Shorin-Ryu Karate Association, Inc., a two-year All-Conference Selection in Football, and a recipient of the 1973 NCAA Football Post-Graduate Scholarship Award.

Mr. Janik obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1975, and thereafter served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Thomas D. Lambros, Chief Judge of The United States District Court for The Northern District of Ohio. Upon completing his Clerkship, Mr. Janik entered private practice, and on September 1, 1988, founded the firm.

Mr. Janik is admitted to practice before the Courts of the States of Ohio, California, Maryland, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and the District of Columbia, as well as the United States Districts Courts for the Northern District of Ohio, District of Maryland, Central District of California, and Southern District of California, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Sixth, and Ninth Circuits, United States Tax Court, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Janik is a member of the Ohio, California, Maryland, Pennsylvania, District of Columbia, Federal, American and Lawyer-Pilot Bar Associations.

Mr. Janik has served as Special Master to the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, in complex antitrust and asbestos litigation proceedings, as a member of the Federal Judicial Center Task Force on Reducing Trial Delay, and as Chairman of the Magistrate Merit Selection Committee, United States District Court for The Northern District of Ohio.

Mr. Janik is a life member of the Sixth Circuit and Ohio Court of Appeals Judicial Conferences, International Association of Defense Counsel, and Defense Research Institute. He is listed in The Best Lawyers In America, Ohio "Super Lawyers", and Cleveland's Best Lawyers for Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law, and Personal Injury Litigation. Mr. Janik has served as a member of the Orthopedics Leadership Board of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and is a private pilot, single engine land, instrument rated.
