Colin P. Sammon is a Partner in the Firm, focusing his practice on insurance and professional liability matters. For the first 5 ½ years of his career, Mr. Sammon gained significant trial and litigation experience while representing plaintiffs in complex personal injury, professional liability, and insurance claims.
In 1999, Mr. Sammon graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, having majored in Business Administration and Finance and minored in Economics. At Miami University, Mr. Sammon was actively involved in a multitude of service organizations and was elected to cabinet positions within campus organizations as well as his fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta.
In May, 2002, Mr. Sammon earned his Juris Doctorate from the Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law, graduating with distinction. During law school, Mr. Sammon served as judicial extern for the Honorable Vernelis K. Armstrong, Magistrate for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Mr. Sammon was a Staff Editor and Manuscript Editor for the Ohio Northern Law Review, and his article Insurance Agent and Broker Liability: Crossing the Two Way Street, was published in the Spring of 2002. Mr. Sammon was also the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for the highest grades in Insurance and Business Organizations courses. After graduating, Mr. Sammon worked as a judicial assistant to the Honorable David T. Evans, of the Court of Appeals of Ohio for the Fourth Appellate District.
Mr. Sammon is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and a life member of the Eighth District Court of Appeals Judicial Conference. He is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of Ohio and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.
